How often do you shave them?

Alpacas are shorn once a year. We shear ours in the early summer. We do this only because we live on the Oregon Coast and they days aren't warm enough until then.

Text book pregnancy is 345-355 days. I have had females deliver at 335 and some at 360. It just depends on when the cria is ready to enter this world.
